💨 Abstract
The Venezuelan and Panamanian governments have agreed to resume consular services in Caracas and Panama City after nearly a year of suspension. The move aims to address consular matters for their respective nationals. This does not indicate a full restoration of diplomatic ties, which remain paused due to the Venezuelan government's handling of recent election disputes. President José Raúl Mulino of Panama had previously suspended diplomatic relations and halted aerial operations, citing the need for transparent electoral processes.
