💨 Abstract
The roof collapse at the Jet Set nightclub in República Dominicana, which killed over 230 people and injured at least 180, was caused by a combination of structural imprudence, unapproved interventions, cumulative stress on the roof, and inadequate maintenance. The owner and manager, Antonio and Maribel Espaillat, face charges of involuntary manslaughter, irresponsibility, and negligence.
