💨 Abstract
Mexico held its first-ever election for judges, Supreme Court ministers, and magistrates nationwide on June 2, 2025. Despite an electoral pool of around 100 million citizens, only 12.57% to 13.32% turned out to vote. Experts cited confusion, lack of preparation time, and risk of judicial corruption as reasons for the low turnout and potential failure of this unprecedented electoral process.
