With 92% of votes counted and 12.3% participation, he surpasses Lenia Batres by 3 percentage points. President Claudia Sheinbaum celebrated the potential historic representation. Aguilar Ortiz, backed by Sheinbaum, has dedicated his career to advocating for indigenous rights.
