💨 Abstract
For the fifth consecutive week, the average rate on a 30-year U.S. mortgage has decreased, reaching 6.67%, the lowest since early April. This rate has now surpassed rates recorded last year, which were 6.95% for 30-year mortgages and 6.25% for 15-year mortgages. This decline is positive for potential buyers who have been struggling with higher home prices.
