💨 Abstract
Hamas has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire proposal for Gaza, accepting U.S.-backed negotiations to halt the long-standing conflict. Israel had previously accepted the plan. The proposal involves the release of 28 Israeli hostages in stages, along with the withdrawal of Israeli troops from northern Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Both sides are set to enter final negotiations towards a permanent ceasefire.
