💨 Abstract

A tropical depression, the third of the Atlantic hurricane season, formed off the southeast U.S. coast. While not a major threat, it may bring heavy rain to the southeast and risky beach conditions over the weekend. The depression could drop up to 150 mm of rain in parts of North and South Carolina. Meanwhile, most of the U.S. will enjoy ideal weather for the July 4th, except for Texas and the Upper Midwest, which may experience severe storms.
