đź’¨ Abstract
Ticks are tiny parasites that transmit diseases like Lyme, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and alpha-gal syndrome. Over 31 million Americans face tick bites yearly, especially in the Northeast and Upper Midwest during summer. To prevent bites, wear protective clothing, use repellent, and check for ticks post-outdoor activities. Prompt removal within 24 hours reduces disease risk. Consult a healthcare provider if symptoms appear or if removal is difficult.
