đź’¨ Abstract

Palliative care is a healthcare service focused on improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses. It aims to alleviate symptoms, pain, and stress, and provides support for physical, emotional, social, and spiritual distress. Palliative care teams manage symptoms, coordinate care, and assist with decision-making, but do not cure the underlying condition. They can work alongside curative treatments and are available in various settings, including at home.
