💨 Abstract
The U.S. Department of State has listed seven continental regions and several Caribbean and South Atlantic islands in Latin America as safe for travel (Level 1). These include Argentina, El Salvador, Paraguay, Surinam, Campeche and Yucatán (Mexico), and Guayana Francesa. Islands deemed safe include Malvinas (Falklands) and various Caribbean islands. El Salvador, despite its past violence, has improved its security.
