💨 Abstract

FBI agents, unaccustomed to policing, are assigned to patrol Washington D.C. streets due to a crime emergency declared by President Donald Trump. Unlike local police, FBI agents lack training in community policing. Many FBI agents are highly educated but have limited experience in fieldwork. Critics argue this reassignment diverts FBI resources from national security threats. Previous reassignments for immigration and Epstein archive reviews have already caused concern and tension within the agency.
