In Bolivia, a mine collapse in Potosí resulted in the deaths of five miners, likely due to asphyxiation. Investigations are ongoing, with this incident raising the year's mining fatality toll in the area to 73. Meanwhile, in Chile, search and rescue efforts continue for four trapped miners in a Codelco mine after a seismic event. One more body was recovered, bringing the confirmed deaths to two.
