💨 Abstract

Tropical Storm Erin, formed near Cabo Verde, is moving west at 31 km/h with sustained winds of 75 km/h. It may become the Atlantic's first hurricane of the season. Currently, no warnings have been issued, and its impact on the Caribbean is uncertain, though it will pass through the tropical Atlantic's main development region this week. This year, four named tropical storms have formed in the Atlantic, but none have reached hurricane status.
