💨 Abstract

A massive wildfire in the mountains north of Los Angeles is burning thousands of hectares and forcing evacuations after starting on Thursday afternoon. The Canyon Fire, driven by extreme heat and dry winds, rapidly consumed over 1,942 hectares, destroying at least two structures. As of Friday morning, the fire was 25% contained. The blaze has triggered evacuations in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, affecting thousands of residents.
