💨 Abstract
The United Nations Human Rights Committee found that Guatemala violated the rights of a 14-year-old girl who was raped and forced to continue her pregnancy. The girl, who was raped multiple times beginning at age 13, was denied access to abortion and forced to carry and care for the child, a treatment the committee likened to torture.
