On May 28, 2025, Andrew Benintendi led the Chicago White Sox to a 9-4 victory over the New York Mets, avoiding a sweep. Benintendi had four RBIs and was one double away from hitting for the cycle. Lenyn Sosa and Mike Tauchman also contributed. The Mets' Mark Vientos homered, but their four-game win streak ended. Starting pitchers Shane Smith and Griffin Canning struggled, allowing multiple runs.
