💨 Abstract

Reese McGuire, a 30-year-old catcher, hit two home runs in his first multihomer game for the Chicago Cubs against the Cincinnati Reds. McGuire, who was called up from Triple-A Iowa after an injury to Miguel Amaya and an illness to Carson Kelly, expressed confidence in his abilities. He had previously played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, and Boston Red Sox.
