💨 Abstract
On August 9, 1945, the U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan, killing over 1,400 people, including many at Shiroyama Elementary School. The bombing, along with the one in Hiroshima, led to Japan's surrender and the end of World War II.
