Jose Iglesias led the San Diego Padres to a 3-2 victory against the Kansas City Royals, securing two of three games in the series. In the seventh inning, Iglesias tied the game with a two-run single and later drove in the winning run in the ninth. Salvador Perez hit a two-run homer for the Royals, while phenomenal defensive plays were also notable. The Padres' Seth Lugo retired 18 straight batters before the game's late rallies.
