Robert Lewandowski, Poland's captain and top scorer, announced he will not play for the national team while Michał Probierz is the coach. Lewandowski, who cited fatigue and a lack of trust in Probierz, has played 158 games for Poland and scored 85 goals. Miroslaw Zieliński was named the new captain. Poland leads their World Cup qualifying group with two wins.
