💨 Abstract

Ireland's Ben Healy claimed the Tour de France's yellow jersey after a strong performance in the first mountainous stage, finishing third and taking a 29-second lead over Tadej Pogačar. Healy, born in England but representing Ireland, was part of a large breakaway and excelled over seven climbs. Despite not being a pre-race favorite, he now leads the general classification. Healy, inspired by past Irish cycling greats, aims to defend his jersey.
