💨 Abstract

Real Madrid has signed Álvaro Carreras, a 22-year-old left back, from Benfica on a six-year contract. Carreras, who previously played in Madrid's youth academy, won the Portuguese League Cup with Benfica. The move comes after Madrid's disappointing season, finishing second in La Liga and being eliminated in the Champions League quarterfinals despite signing Kylian Mbappé. Carreras will be officially introduced by the club on Tuesday.
