💨 Abstract
Kunishige Kamamoto, Japan's all-time leading goal scorer with 75 goals in 76 games, passed away at age 81 due to pneumonia. Kamamoto played for Japan from 1964 to 1977 and led the team to a bronze medal at the 1968 Olympics, scoring seven goals in the tournament. He later served in Japan's House of Councillors and as a vice president of the Japan Football Association.
