💨 Abstract
On August 6, 2025, Arizona Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a monumental home run against San Diego Padres' Mason Miller. Gurriel's homer, from a 103.9 mph fastball, was the hardest-hit pitch for a homer since MLB started pitch tracking in 2008. The home run in the 8th inning allowed the Diamondbacks to tie the game at 5-5.
