💨 Abstract
Ohio's Casino Control Commission is investigating Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz for suspicious gambling activity on their pitches. The commission is collaborating with MLB and has conducted previous similar investigations. Governor Mike DeWine has called for a ban on player-specific micro bets, citing harm to athletes and the integrity of the game. Both pitchers are on paid leave until August 31. The relationship between the two cases remains unclear.
