💨 Abstract
A 15-year-old boy, Yassin Khalifa, was struck by lightning in Central Park during a thunderstorm. He was briefly unconscious and suffered burns but is expected to fully recover. Witness Crystal Mateo described the scene as scary. Lightning strikes are usually not fatal, with about 90% of victims surviving.
