💨 Abstract
In Fort Collins, Colorado, rabbits with horn-like growths due to the mostly harmless Shope papillomavirus have been spotted. These growths, resembling warts or antlers, are caused by a virus common in rabbits but not transmissible to humans or other animals. The virus, studied since the 1930s, has contributed to the understanding of virus-related cancers.
