💨 Abstract

A second measles case has been confirmed in Virginia in 2025, involving a teenager from the northwest region who had traveled internationally. The Virginia Department of Health issued warnings about potential exposure sites and highlights the contagious nature of measles. Earlier, a child under 4 in Fredericksburg and Woodbridge was diagnosed. Additionally, the CDC reports 1,046 confirmed measles cases nationwide, while Canada and Mexico face significant outbreaks.
