π¨ Abstract
On December 14, 2025, a United Airlines 777-200-ER jet experienced an engine failure during takeoff from Dulles Airport. The pilots conducted an emergency fuel dump to reduce the plane's weight for a safer landing. The plane, bound for Tokyo, had to dump over 250,000 pounds of fuel after an hour of flight. The fuel was released at a high altitude to minimize environmental impact.
