💨 Abstract

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is retaining Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., a vocal critic of China, amidst a Cabinet overhaul after May's midterm elections. Teodoro has strongly opposed China's actions in the South China Sea. Additionally, Maj. Nicolas Torre III will lead the national police, known for arresting former President Rodrigo Duterte and religious leader Apollo Quiboloy.
