💨 Abstract

In Tehran, which is home to about 10 million people, a subtle societal shift is happening. It is contradicting but nonetheless apparent. Anti-American murals are common, and societal norms regarding women’s dress codes are visible in varying compliance and protest. Though the economy struggles due to U.S. sanctions, people go about their daily routines as negotiations over the nuclear program unfold. Local observations prompt anticipation over the deal talks.
