Honduras and the U.S. agreed to collaborate on sharing biometric data and ensuring migration security following a meeting between President Xiomara Castro and U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. This meeting occurred amidst renewed tensions between the two countries regarding deportations and military cooperation. Additionally, Noem was headed to Guatemala to meet with President Bernardo Arévalo.
