💨 Abstract
A Kenyan man, Boniface Kariuki, who was shot by police during protests over a blogger's death in custody, has died. Kariuki, a vendor, was shot in the head, reigniting anger over police brutality. Warnings of a crackdown by the state security agencies and comments about shooting people at sight during protests have caused civil rights organizations to protest latest human rights breach by the administration of President William Ruto.
