💨 Abstract
Thailand has reversed its 2022 decriminalization of cannabis, now banning sales without a prescription. The new order, effective Thursday, reclassifies cannabis buds as controlled substances, with violations punishable by up to a year in jail and a fine. This shift aims to curb public backlash over unregulated access, especially to minors, and rising addiction rates. The Health Ministry will enforce stricter regulations and close non-compliant shops.
