💨 Abstract
Uriah Rennie, the first Black referee in the English Premier League, has passed away at the age of 65. Born in Jamaica, Rennie grew up in Sheffield, England, and made history in 1997 by officiating his first Premier League match between Derby and Wimbledon. He went on to officiate over 300 top-flight matches, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations in football.
