💨 Abstract
Police in Northern Ireland reported that 17 officers were injured during a second night of anti-immigrant violence in Ballymena. Rioters, using bricks, bottles, petrol bombs, and fireworks, set vehicles and houses on fire. Police used water cannon and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. The violence began after a peaceful march in support of a family affected by an alleged sexual assault. Two 14-year-old boys were charged, with Romanian interpreters present.
