💨 Abstract
At least 21 people were killed in an early morning attack by Islamic State-backed rebels on a Catholic church in eastern Congo's Komanda. The Allied Democratic Force (ADF) members conducted the attack around 1 am, burning several houses and shops. The death toll, confirmed by a civil society leader, contrasts with the Congolese army's reported figure of 10 dead. The search for additional victims continues.
