💨 Abstract
Pakistani security forces killed 30 militants attempting to enter from Afghanistan in North Waziristan. The militants, alleged to be Pakistani Taliban and backed by India, were intercepted overnight. Weapons and explosives were seized. Pakistan urged Afghanistan to prevent the use of its territory for attacks. Militant violence in Pakistan has increased, with many blamed on the Pakistani Taliban, which operates from Afghan bases. President Zardari and PM Sharif praised the operation.
