💨 Abstract
President Donald Trump plans to use tariffs as a tool to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine. With Ukraine's military efforts proving ineffective, Trump proposes 100% tariffs on countries purchasing Russian oil, natural gas, and other products if no peace deal is reached within 50 days. The tariffs aim to cause Russia financial pain, but experts and economists are sceptical.
