💨 Abstract

Bayern Munich is ending its commercial sponsorship with Rwanda due to allegations of Rwanda's support for rebels in Congo. The original five-year deal, signed in 2023, included tourism promotion. Now, Bayern will focus on a three-year talent development program at their academy in Rwanda. The club will phase out "Visit Rwanda" branding. Rwanda faces similar backlash with sponsorship deals involving Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid.
