💨 Abstract
Burkina Faso's military junta declared U.N. resident coordinator Carol Flore-Smereczniak "persona non grata" following a U.N. report that accused both jihadi groups and government forces of child abuses. The junta dismissed the report as untrue and lacking evidence. The U.N. had previously approved Flore-Smereczniak’s appointment.
