💨 Abstract
Thai and Cambodian officials convened in Malaysia for talks to prevent future border clashes following a ceasefire brokered last week after five days of deadly disputes that resulted in dozens of deaths and displaced over 260,000 people. The discussions are focused primarily on preventing further clashes but do exclude the decades-long territorial disputes. Economic pressures from the U.S. contributed to the ceasefire, with President Donald Trump imposing tariffs and warning against further hostilities.
