💨 Abstract
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Turkey's northwestern province on Sunday evening, with shocks felt 200 kilometers away in Istanbul. The earthquake was followed by several aftershocks. One building collapsed in Sindirgi, the epicenter. Citizens were advised not to enter damaged buildings. Turkey frequently experiences earthquakes due to its location on major fault lines.
