💨 Abstract
Senators will vote on Trump's request to claw back $9.4 billion from public broadcasting and foreign aid. The House has already approved the measure. The Senate must vote by Friday, or the funds will remain. Trump seeks to cut nearly $1.1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and $8.3 billion from foreign aid programs. He argues that public broadcasting is politically biased and wasteful, while foreign aid is also deemed unnecessary.
