A 7.3 - magnitude earthquake shook Alaska's southern coast, triggering a tsunami warning for a sparsely populated region. The warning stretched from near Homer to Unimak Pass, covering about 700 miles. Significant communities in the area include Kodiak and King Cove, which have been advised to move to higher ground. Officials in the Pacific Northwest are also assessing potential threats.
