💨 Abstract

Donald Trump reinstated a previous policy, banning citizens from 12 countries and partially restricting others, including Cuba and Venezuela. The restrictions will begin on June 9, aiming to reduce overstays. At least in Venezuela, the regulation argues the country lacks control in providing official documents and faces ineffective security measures. For Cuban travelers, the regulations say that Cuba serves as a terrorist state and therefore exposes a public threat. Trump justified these measures by citing high overstay rates.
