💨 Abstract
A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from revoking the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) of approximately 5,000 Venezuelans in the U.S. This decision counters the cancellation of a program extension by Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem in February. Judge Edward E. Chen ruled that these Venezuelans, who received documentation to extend their TPS earlier this year, can keep it. Chen stated that these individuals should not be eligible for deportation while the case is ongoing.
