💨 Abstract
The UK is set to build 12 new nuclear-powered attack submarines, known as SSN-AUKUS, by 2037, replacing the current Astute class. These submarines, part of a £15 billion program, will enhance the Royal Navy's patrol capabilities and deter threats, particularly from Russia. The submarines will carry conventional weapons and are designed to operate undetected.
