💨 Abstract
Residents of the iconic Brutalist Balfron Tower in east London have been trapped in their homes due to faulty lifts. Despite the inconvenience and safety concerns, especially for those with mobility issues, they were offered only £100 in compensation. The building's management, Way of Life, and the owner, Poplar Harca, have defended their actions, citing unforeseen circumstances and adherence to safety protocols. Residents, however, feel the compensation is inadequate and insulting.
