💨 Abstract
Recent weather in the UK has been unpredictable, with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall expected across much of the country from Thursday through Saturday. The Met Office has issued warnings for torrential downpours, humidity, and strong wind gusts. Despite earlier predictions of a hot summer, the outlook remains mixed, with average temperatures ranging from 10-17°C. The southeast of England is expected to be slightly warmer, with the possibility of heatwaves, though not guaranteed.
